My autistic warrior

This year, our family is walking for autism — for understanding, acceptance, and for my little girl.
She was diagnosed last year at just 6 years old. On the outside, many people wouldn’t see her struggles. She masks so well, working incredibly hard every day to fit into a world that often feels too loud, too busy, and too overwhelming. Behind that mask are big feelings, sensory overload, and the daily challenge of trying to regulate in environments that aren’t always kind to neurodivergent minds.
But she is also so much more than her diagnosis.
She is a free spirit. She questions everything, sees the world through curious and compassionate eyes, and has the biggest love for animals. She feels deeply, loves fiercely, and experiences life in full colour.
We walk to raise awareness, to remind others that autism doesn’t always look the same, and to help build a world where children like her don’t feel they have to hide who they are. A world where they are understood, supported, and celebrated exactly as they are.
This walk is for her — and for every child who deserves to be seen 💙🧩
