Why we are doing this x
Hi all, we have teamed together with some friends as a family to walk for autism.
Autism was something I didn't really understand until it impacted my life and my heart with my son when he was diagnosed in February 2018, a few weeks after his 4th birthday. We always knew something was different with Oliver as he always struggled with his milestones and his speech was very delayed. Oliver is very high functioning, his super powers are he is hyperlexic, he can read without ever being taught and his memory and power to retain facts is incredible. Now Evie is on the same journey - pre diagnosis and showing lots of traits and lots of anxiety.
You can never put into words how it feels to be told your child is different. And it is an emotional roller coaster that we went through as parents to come to terms with it. Including guilt, blame, anger, frustration, sadness but mostly love. Now there is only hope and fight to advocate!
My children have changed me in every which way, they are my little rainbows! They are blessings and they teach me how to see the world beautifully and differently on a daily basis.
Please support us to raise some money for a fantastic cause, to provide support for families, opportunities for children who are our little super heros 🌈🌈❤️
I'm walking for to raise awareness for autism!! For my beautiful children Oliver and Evie
I’ve stepped up to Walk for Autism to show how much I care about autism.
I’ll be challenging myself to walk 10,000 steps every day for 8 days while raising much needed funds to support autistic people in the UK.
Help make my steps count and show your support by donating today!
