Final Day

Fantastic to finish off the series of walks joined by some freinds to celebrate. What was supposed to be a gentle completion to the 8 days turned into a moorland hike to look for an aircraft which crashed in 1951. The crash site was found although and it all added to the step count. Finally defending off the moors for a well deserved glass of bubbly in the sunshine. Already looking forwards to next year but think the step target is likely to return to 80,000. Thanks Walk For Autism 2022 it's been a blast.

Day 7

Nearly there- Bella with us again, fantastic Pennine Way walk with views of Kinder North Edge. Weather all around us, snow hail and rain. Cannot believe how we managed to miss it. Lots of photos in the Gallery will add some to the blog when I get chance. One walk to go. Thanks to everyone for your donations. Hit the steps target and £500 tonight. 

Day 6

Fantastic night walk with Phil, Willy and Bella the dog. Clear night with wind chill down to -3. Barn Owls and lots of Lapwings to keep us company. 

Day 5

Mainly an urban walk this evening but we did manage to see the sheep sheltering from the snow!  - wow that was a cold one 

Day 4

Very quick 12000 steps tonight due to belated Mother's Day trip. The views of Kinder Scout were amazing. Sadly no Bella with us tonight but I'm sure she'll be back with us soon.

Day 3

First chance to walk with the whole of the Papadawg22 team and even took Bella along. Think she wants to be an official member. She'll be out again on day 6. We walked up to dog rock, would have been rude not to. 

Day 2

4 small walks today after yesterdays epic. Lovely to see Monsal Dale full of people on Mothering Sunday

Day One

No pictures today unfortunately- the planned walk had to be changed as I got a callout with mountain rescue. Still added to my step total though - he he

I’ve stepped up to Walk for Autism to show how much I care about autism.

I’ll be challenging myself to walk 10,000 steps every day for 8 days while raising much needed funds to support autistic people in the UK and Ireland.
