Autism Initiatives Group is a national charity operating
in the UK and Ireland.
Autism Initiatives Group was founded 50 years ago in 1972 by Pat Minshull who couldn't find the right support for her autistic son Peter. Pat fundraised tirelessly and with the help of local MP Harold Wilson she opened a school for autistic children. 50 years on and we have grown from a local charity in Liverpool where we still have our head office to a national charity providing specialist autism services in the UK and Ireland. Pat sadly died a few years ago but we are proud to continue her legacy as a brilliant fundraiser with Walk for Autism. Autism Initiatives still support Peter and he lives locally in his own home with 3 Autism Initiatives staff 365 days a year.
